AUSTIN, TX – A 15-year-old girl died Sunday from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle collision two days prior in east-central Austin.
According to KXAN, the incident occurred on Friday, May 17th around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of FM 969 and the northbound service road of Ed Bluestein Boulevard.
Police haven’t shared any details about the circumstances of the crash except to say that the victim was driving a car carrying three additional juveniles and one adult.
Medics transported all five occupants of the vehicle to the hospital. Four people were admitted with minor injuries, but the 15-year-old driver’s injuries proved fatal.
A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
