AUSTIN, TX – One person was hospitalized Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck in South Austin, reports ATCEMS.

The incident occurred around 1:49 p.m. near the intersection of South FM 973 and FM 812, which is just west of TX-130 and east of US-183.
Police haven’t yet disclosed the manner in which the 18-wheeler and the passenger vehicle collided, but they say one person became pinned in their vehicle and required extrication.
Medics transported one person on a trauma alert to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with possibly life-threatening injuries.
Three other adults involved in the accident declined hospitalization.
