AUSTIN, TX – One person died early Monday morning after a vehicle struck them along a busy roadway in northeast Austin, reports ATCEMS.

The incident occurred around 6:08 a.m. in the area of 9200 Cameron Road, which is between Ferguson Lane and East Rundberg Lane.
It’s not yet clear if the victim was crossing the road in a designated crosswalk.
Police say medics attempted CPR but were unsuccessful. The patient died at the scene of the accident.
It’s not yet clear if the driver of the vehicle involved in crash stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.
Officials closed lanes of Cameron in the area of the crash while emergency crews worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
