AUSTIN, TX – One person died Tuesday night from injuries sustained when a train struck them in south-central Austin, reports ATCEMS.

The incident happened around 10:42 p.m. on the tracks that run near the 5900 block of Rubicon Run. This is just south of West Stassney Lane and east of Crockett High School.
Police haven’t yet shared any details regarding the circumstances of the crash. It’s not yet clear why the pedestrian was on the tracks when the train approached.
Additionally, authorities haven’t disclosed the name of the victim, whom they say died at the scene.
