AUSTIN, TX – One person was seriously hurt Thursday morning after a vehicle struck them in the Georgian Acres area of north Austin, reports CBS Austin.

The accident happened just after 6 a.m. at 6401 Georgian Drive, which is near the intersection with Oertli Lane. This is northwest of I-35 and northeast of US-183.

It’s not yet clear if the pedestrian was attempting to cross the road when the crash occurred, nor do we know if the driver involved remained at the scene to render aid and speak with authorities.

Medics transported to the victim to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
