AUSTIN, TX – One person went to the hospital Thursday night after a vehicle struck them at a busy south Austin intersection, reports CBS Austin.
The incident happened around 10:08 p.m. at the intersection of South Congress Avenue and Lightsey Road, which is just north of US-290 and west of I-35.
It’s not yet clear what caused the crash, nor have police clarified whether or not the driver involved in the accident stopped to render aid and answer questions.
Medics resuscitated the patient at the scene and took them to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
