AUSTIN, TX – One person died, and two were injured Saturday in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in northwest Austin, reports KXAN.
The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the area of Great Hills Trail and TX-360, which is just north of Mayfield Creek and Steck Valley Greenbelt.
Police say that an SUV and a sedan collided when the driver of the SUV neglected to heed a red light at the intersection.
A passenger in the SUV, identified as 90-year-old Esther Saylee, died after transport to an area hospital.
Two additional passengers from the SUV went to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
Nobody in the sedan was hurt.
