AUSTIN, TX – Two people went to the hospital Tuesday night after a vehicle struck them and at least two others in an Austin parking lot.
According to Spectrum News 1, the accident happened just after 4:30 p.m. in the area of Elmont Drive and South Pleasant Valley Road, which is just south of the river in east Austin.
Police say a woman who reported her phone missing may be responsible for crashing into several pedestrians and a food truck. One of the victims is allegedly the father of the suspect’s children.
Medics transported two adult victims to an area hospital. One of them sustained minor injuries.
Two other victims received medical attention at the scene of the accident but did not require hospitalization.
Along with the reported injuries, the crash caused the food truck to catch fire. It’s unclear if the truck sustained serious damage.
