AUSTIN, TX – A wrong-way collision along US-183 in southeast Austin proved fatal early Sunday morning, reports KXAN News.
The accident happened just before 5:30 a.m. near the intersection with Maha Loop Road, which is north of TX-45 and south of Clinger Road.
Police haven’t shared any details regarding the circumstances of the collision except to say that two people died.
The identity of the victims has not yet been disclosed to the public.
Officials closed both sides of the highway Sunday morning while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the wreckage.
