AUSTIN, TX – Austin EMS and police responded to a major pedestrian accident in southeast Austin on Friday afternoon, reports CBS Austin.
The incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on the westbound side of the service road for Ben White Boulevard, just east of the intersection with I-35.
Police say that a vehicle struck and seriously injured a child along the service road. They’ve not yet shared any further details regarding the circumstances of the crash, nor have they indicated if the driver involved remained at the scene.
Medics transported the pediatric victim to Dell Children’s Medical Center.
