TRAVIS CO., TX – Emergency teams responded to a fatal accident in east-central Travis County on Tuesday morning, reports CBS Austin.

The crash occurred just after midnight on Littig Road near Bitting School Road, which is about six miles southwest of Elgin.

Very few details regarding the accident have been disclosed thus far. Police say that a collision caused a vehicle to catch fire and that one person involved in the crash sustained fatal injuries.

Authorities haven’t disclosed the name of the deceased, nor have they commented on the cause of the wreck or the number of vehicles involved.
