AUSTIN, TX – Two men died Saturday afternoon in a crash involving a car and a pickup in southeast Austin, reports KVUE.
The accident happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Stassney Lane and Peppertree Parkway, which is east of I-35 and northwest of McKinney Falls State Park.
Police haven’t shared any details about the collision except to say that at least one of the vehicles overturned. There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the accident.
Both the 75-year-old driver of the sedan, identified as Ignacio Jaimes-Jaimes, and an 18-year-old passenger from the pickup, identified as Anthony Benitez-Castaneda, died at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was hospitalized with non-critical injuries.
