AUSTIN, TX – A juvenile sustained injuries Sunday when a vehicle struck them near the airport in southeast Austin, reports KVUE.

The incident occurred on Lee Hill Drive between Hoeke Lane and US-183. This is just east of PPD – Austin Research Unit.

Police haven’t yet shared any details about what happened except to say that the juvenile went to the hospital in critical condition.

There’s no word yet regarding the driver or vehicle involved in the accident, but authorities have not referred to the collision as a hit-and-run.

Drivers likely experienced delays along Lee Hill Drive in the area of the accident while emergency teams worked to clear the scene.
