ROBERTSON CO., TX – An 82-year-old man died Thursday in a two-vehicle collision involving a semi in east-central Robertson County.
According to KBTX 3, the accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on US-79 between Ridge and Franklin. Officials haven’t yet provided a cross street or mile marker for the crash.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a westbound 2022 Ford F-150 entered the eastbound side of the highway and collided head-on with a 2010 Freightliner.
The wrong-way driver, identified as Hugh Hall, sustained fatal injuries.
Medics transported the truck driver to an area hospital with minor injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
