AUSTIN, TX – A 56-year-old man died last Monday from injuries sustained in a major crash late last month in north Austin.

According to MSN, the incident happened around 1 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, in the area of 10500 North I-35 southbound. This is between Braker and Rundberg in the North Lamar neighborhood.

There’s no word yet on the cause of the accident, which police say involved two vehicles. 

Officials are still working to discern the circumstances of the collision.

One of the drivers, since identified as Dominic Rene Gonzalez, died in the hospital eight days after the crash occurred. 

The other driver involved in the wreck was unhurt.

The investigation is ongoing.
