AUSTIN, TX – A fatality has been reported in connection to a two-vehicle collision that happened Monday morning in northeast Austin.

According to KVUE, emergency teams reported to the intersection of Samsung Boulevard and East Parmer Lane around 7:15 a.m. This is just east of Samsung Austin Semiconductor.

Police haven’t yet commented on the cause of the wreck or the manner in which the two vehicles impacted.

They say that one person died at the scene after medics performed CPR. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased.

Medics transported one other person to the hospital with serious injuries.

Motorists experienced substantial rush hour delays in the area of the accident while crews assisted the victims and worked to clear the scene.
