AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police are investigating a fatality accident that occurred Wednesday along the highway in southeast Austin, reports KVUE. 

Emergency teams reported to the southbound side of US-183 at McKenzie Road around 1:45 p.m. This is just south of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and west of Circuit of the Americas.

Police haven’t yet disclosed the cause of the crash, the number of vehicles involved, or the manner in which the vehicles impacted.

One person died at the scene. Authorities have not yet disclosed their name to the public.

At least two others sustained minor injuries. It’s unclear if they required hospitalization.

A full investigation is underway.
