LEANDER, TX – An elderly man from Andice sustained fatal injuries Thursday in a single-vehicle crash on the north side of Leander, reports KXAN.

The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. in the parking lot of a convenience store in the area of 11000 Highway 183 A. This is just east of Glenn High School and north of St. David’s Emergency Center.

Police say the victim appears to have struck a gas pump before falling from and becoming trapped beneath his vehicle.

Medics attempted to save the man, but he died at the scene of the accident.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.

A full investigation is underway.
