GEORGETOWN, TX – A two-vehicle accident along the highway on the west side of Georgetown killed an off-duty firefighter on Friday, reports CBS Austin.
The collision occurred shortly after 9 a.m. on TX-29 just west of Wolf Ranch Parkway. This is just northwest of Wolf Ranch Town Center and southwest of Family Emergency Room at Georgetown.
Police haven’t yet shared any details regarding the cause or circumstances of the wreck except to say that the victim was headed home on his motorcycle when it happened.
Medics transported the firefighter to an area hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the accident. Authorities have not yet named the victim. They say he was wearing a safety helmet.
No other injuries have been reported in connection to the crash.
