AUSTIN, TX – One person sustained fatal injuries Tuesday in a crash involving a moped and a passenger vehicle in east Austin, reports KVUE abc.
The accident happened around 6 p.m. along the North Pleasant Valley Road over the Colorado River, also known as Town Lake.
Police haven’t yet determined the cause of the collision. The moped operator, they say, became trapped beneath the other vehicle following the wreck.
Emergency teams performed CPR, but the moped operator succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Authorities have not yet named the victim publically.
It’s unclear if the other driver was hurt in the crash.
Officials closed North Pleasant Valley in the area of the accident while crews worked at the scene.
