BEE CAVE, TX – Five people went to the hospital Thursday following a two-vehicle collision along the highway in Bee Cave.
According to KVUE, the accident happened prior to 7 a.m. on the westbound side of TX-71 east of Cueva Drive. This is just northwest of Bee Cave Elementary School.
It’s not yet clear what caused the wreck. Police say that three people were thrown from their vehicle.
Medics transported one of the six people involved in the crash to an area hospital via air ambulance. Three people went to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries. Two others did not require hospitalization.
Motorists likely encountered significant rush hour delays along TX-71 in the area of the collision while crews helped the victims and worked to clear the scene.
