GARFIELD, TX – A two-vehicle crash along the highway in southeast Travis County resulted in serious injuries for a motorcyclist on Friday, reports KXAN.
The accident happened shortly before 2 p.m. on the eastbound side of TX-71 at Wolf Lane in the city of Garfield. This is about 17 miles southeast of Austin.
Police haven’t yet determined the cause of the collision, but they say it involved a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle.
Medics performed life-saving measures at the scene before transporting the patient via air ambulance to an area hospital.
Motorists likely experienced significant delays along TX-71 in Garfield Friday afternoon while teams assisted the patient and worked to clear the scene.
