MCLENNAN CO., TX – One person sustained serious injuries Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision along the highway in east-central McLennan County.
According to Fox 44 News, the incident happened along TX-6 southbound near the city of Hallsburg. This is about 112 miles northwest of Austin.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a southbound Ram pickup truck rear-ended an 18-wheeler.
After performing CPR at the scene, medics transported the driver of the pickup truck to an area hospital with critical injuries.
The semi-truck driver did not sustain injuries in the accident.
Drivers likely experienced delays along TX-6 in the area of the wreck while emergency teams worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
