BUDA, TX – According to KXAN, police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that took place on I-35 on Sunday.

A grey Chevrolet Silverado struck and killed 67-year-old Viola Garcez as she crossed the street. The vehicle then fled the crash scene. Garcez was hospitalized but was later pronounced dead.

The suspect, Jeffrey Conzemius, 58, was later apprehended by police and charged for his role in the crash.
