AUSTIN, TX – An employee of the Manor Police Department died in a crash in south Austin, according to KXAN.
The victim was 27-year-old Hunter Hartman, a victim services specialist with the department. The accident happened in the area of West U.S. Highway 290 and El Rey Boulevard just before midnight Saturday.
Austin-Travis County EMS medics said they arrived to find a vehicle that had rolled over with two people pinned underneath. Hartman died at the scene of the crash while the other victim was rushed to the hospital with injuries that were described as life-threatening.
Manor Police Chief Ryan Phipps said in a Facebook post that “Our team is heartbroken and working through the loss.” Hartman had recently graduated from Baylor University with her Masters Degree in Social Work.
