AUSTIN, TX — One person was hospitalized Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle accident in southeast Austin’s Timber Creek area, reports CBS Austin.

The wreck occurred at 11000 Pearce Lane, just southeast of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, shortly before 6:42 a.m.

Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the scene where a pickup truck had collided with a semi-truck.

One adult occupant was pinned in their vehicle and had to be extricated from the wreckage. The victim was declared a trauma alert upon their removal from the vehicle, and was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries.

Authorities did not report any other injuries.

No further information has been disclosed on the circumstances behind the accident.
