AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian was killed early Saturday morning when they were hit by a vehicle along I-35 in South Austin.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, the unidentified victims was found unconscious in the roadway at about 4:49 a.m. near the exit to William Cannon Dr.

The adult victim was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

It is unclear at this time if the driver involved remained at the scene.
