AUSTIN, TX – A collision in southeast Austin early Sunday left one person dead and another critically injured.

According to KVUE, the crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of Tesla Road and FM-973.

Despite life-saving measures, one unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person was extricated from their vehicle and rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are unclear at this time.
