AUSTIN, TX – A crash involving an 18-wheeler caused major delays I-35 in central Austin on Wednesday afternoon.

According to KXAN, the crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the interstate near Airport Boulevard.

The cause of the crash, and the number of vehicles involved, are unclear at this time. However, traffic was halted in the area for some time afterward while crews worked to clear the scene.

We do not know at this time if anyone was injured in the wreck.
