AUSTIN, TX – Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a two-vehicle collision that happened on the afternoon of May 26th on North Mopac Expressway.
Fox 7 Austin reports that the crash occurred just after 1:30 p.m. on the southbound side of the 8500 block of North Mopac.
Police say 59-year-old Gregory William Trippe was travelling south on Mopac when his motorcycle fell into the roadway. A vehicle was unsuccessful in avoiding Trippe and crashed into him.
Trippe died at the scene of the crash.
It is unclear if the driver of the car sustained injuries in the collision. Authorities continue to investigate the crash and request that anyone with information contact the Austin Police Department.
