AUSTIN, TX – One person died when their vehicle crashed along the freeway in North Austin on Thursday night, reports KXAN.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, the incident happened sometime before 8:04 p.m. on the northbound side of Mopac Expressway, or Loop 1, near the intersection with Duval Road.
Authorities have not advised how the crash happened, but a preliminary investigation suggests a vehicle collided with a guardrail. An adult occupant of the vehicle died at the scene of the accident.
