AUSTIN, TX – Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle crash that seriously injured one person on Sunday night in Southeast Austin, reports KXAN.

Austin-Travis County EMS says the incident happened around 10:26 p.m. near the intersection of Burleson Road and Burleson Court, which is just east of I-35 and south of East Oltorf Street.

First responders reported that one person became entrapped in a vehicle that had left the roadway and collided with a pole. They worked to free the occupant from the car and transported the individual to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
