AUSTIN, TX, – Four people became entrapped in their vehicles after two cars collided on a busy roadway in South Austin early Saturday morning, reports CBS Austin.
Police say the incident happened around 3:25 a.m. at 34oo South Congress Avenue, which is near Lightsey Road and Woodward Avenue.
The investigation suggests that two cars collided, at which point one of the cars crashed into the Bel Air Motel, and four people became trapped in their cars.
Emergency crews at the scene extracted all four individuals and transported three of them to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center.
One of the drivers suffered critical injuries and another person sustained serious injuries. A third person suffered non-critical injuries, and a fourth person declined medical treatment.
