FLORENCE, TX – One person died last Friday morning after a vehicle struck them along the highway in Florence, reports CBS Austin.

Police say the incident happened around 5:40 a.m. in the area of 11530 US 183 Hwy, which is just south of County Road 221.

Authorities have not released any details regarding the vehicle or driver involved in the crash. It’s unclear at this time if the driver remained at the scene.

Additionally, officials have not yet released the identify of the victim.

A full investigation is underway.
