AUSTIN, TX – One person died, and another went to the hospital Saturday night after a car collided with a fence in North Austin, reports KXAN.

The incident happened around 8:52 p.m. in the area of 5014 Martin Avenue, which is just northwest of Ridgetop Elementary School.

Police have not yet commented on how the crash occurred. Emergency response crews say they found one person entrapped in the vehicle. That person died from injuries sustained in the accident.

A second occupant of the vehicle went to the hospital with potentially serious injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
