AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian died Sunday night after a vehicle struck them at a busy intersection in north Austin, reports KXAN.
The incident happened just before 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of Mopac Expressway and North Capital of Texas Highway, which is just west of the Shops at Arbor Walk.
Police have not yet disclosed many details about the accident. They say that first responders attempted CPR but could not save the pedestrian, who died at the scene of of the crash.
It is unclear if the driver sustained injuries in the wreck. Authorities say the driver stayed at the scene of the crash and spoke to law enforcement.
A full investigation is underway.
