AUSTIN, TX – Two people went to the hospital Wednesday morning after a car accident with extrication along the highway in South Austin, reports ATCEMS.
The incident happened at 5:59 a.m. in the area of 6600 West US 290, which is just east of West William Cannon Drive and west of McCarty Lane.

Police have not yet commented on the cause of the crash, nor have they said how many vehicles were involved.
One person became pinned in their vehicle and required extrication. Medics transported that individual on a trauma alert to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center.
A second person went to the hospital with non-critical injuries, and another person declined transport.
