AUSTIN, TX – Emergency crews reported one fatality early Thursday morning from a rollover collision along the highway in Southeast Austin.
According to CBS Austin, the accident happened around 4:42 a.m. on the westbound side of State Highway 71 near the junction with US-183, which is just north of Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
Authorities haven’t shared any details about the circumstances of the collision except to say that one vehicle overturned.
Officials warned motorists of lanes closures and substantial delays in the area while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
