AUSTIN, TX – One person went to the hospital Thursday morning after a fiery accident involving a sedan and a semi-truck carrying ramen noodles.
According to Fox 7 Austin, the incident happened around 9:46 a.m. on the southbound side of the North I-35 service road near Tech Ridge Boulevard, which is in the Park 35 area.
The investigation indicates that a sedan somehow travelled under an 18-wheeler, at which point the truck and the car both caught fire.
Medics transported the driver of the passenger vehicle to the hospital with critical injuries.
The truck driver did not sustain significant injuries in the accident.
Officials urged motorists to avoid the area while crews worked to put out the fire and clear the roadway.
The investigation is ongoing.
