DEL VALLE, TX – APD arrested a driver on a possible DWI charge after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday that killed one person and severely injured two others.

KVUE reports that the accident happened just after midnight at the intersection of Elroy Road and FM 973, which is between TX-130 and US Highway 183.

Authorities have not yet commented on how the crash happened, but APD says it involved an SUV and a sedan. One of the vehicles overturned as a result of the collision, and medics worked at the scene to extricate two people and to perform CPR on another person.

Following rescue measures, one occupant from the SUV was declared dead at the scene of the crash. Two other adults were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The incident remains under investigation with law enforcement.
