AUSTIN, TX – One adult died from injuries sustained when two cars collided along the highway in southeast Austin on Sunday night, reports KVUE.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. on the northbound side of US-183 near McCall Lane, which is just northwest of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
The investigation indicates that a northbound vehicle struck another northbound vehicle that had stopped along the side of US-183.
Medics transported seven people to the hospital, including two children. One person died the next day from injuries sustained in the crash.
Police say they arrested one of the drivers for driving under the influence.
A full investigation is underway.
