AUSTIN, TX – Austin-Travis County EMS reports it was at the scene of a three-vehicle crash near Bee Cave on Saturday morning.
The incident happened in the 12400 block of State Highway 71 and was reported at about 11:30 a.m. Medics and local fire crews responded to the accident and rescued one person who was trapped inside a vehicle. A trauma alert was declared for that patient, who was taken to South Austin Medical Center with what were described as potentially serious injuries.
Four other people who were involved in the crash declined EMS transport to the hospital.
Drivers were advised to avoid the area while the crash scene was being cleared.
