SEGUIN, TX – One person died, and another sustained injuries last Sunday in a wrong-way collision in central Guadalupe County.
According to Seguin Today, the accident happened around 5:15 a.m. on Highway 46 just south of Link Road in the city of Seguin. This is about 52 miles south of Austin.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a southbound Dodge Ram 1500 entered the northbound side of the highway and collided head-on with a northbound Ford Fusion.
The driver of the Ford died at the scene of the wreck. Authorities have not yet released their name to the public.
Medics transported the wrong-way driver to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
No charges have been announced thus far.
A full investigation is underway.
