AUSTIN, TX – One woman died, and another suffered serious injuries Saturday in a single-vehicle rollover collision along a busy roadway in South Austin.
According to Fox 7 Austin, the incident happened around 10 p.m. on the eastbound side of Slaughter between I-35 and Bluff Springs Road, which is just west of the Onion Creek Greenbelt.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of an eastbound pickup truck lost control of her vehicle. After veering across the opposite lane, the pickup truck rolled, and the driver died at the scene.
A female passenger sustained serious injuries and went to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center.
Authorities have not yet named the driver publicly. A full investigation is underway.
