SEGUIN, TX – A 21-year-old woman died last Saturday night in Seguin after a pickup truck collided with an SUV at a busy intersection.
According to Seguin Today, the incident happened at 9:35 p.m. at the intersection of FM 466 and FM 467, which is just west of Coyote Bend Mobile Home and RV Park.
The investigation so far indicates that a southbound 2017 Chevy Silverado crashed into an eastbound Chevy Equinox after running a red light.
The driver of the SUV died at the scene of the accident. Authorities identified her as Mayra Noemi Guevara.
Medics transported a four-year-old child and a 45-year-old woman to the hospital with injuries. They were passengers in the Equinox. The extent of their injuries is unclear at this time.
Police arrested the 25-year-old driver of the pickup truck on charges of intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.
The investigation is ongoing.
