KILLEEN, TX – A 34-year-old motorcycle passenger died on Friday from injuries sustained in a three-vehicle crash in Killeen, reports KWTX 10.
The incident happened around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Watercrest Drive and Bachelor Button Boulevard, which is south of I-14 and east of TX-201.
The investigation thus far indicates that a westbound 2018 Chevrolet SUV rear-ended a 2022 Chevrolet pickup truck as the latter vehicle waited to turn onto Bachelor Button.
The force of the collision pushed the Chevy pickup truck into the eastbound lanes of traffic where it collided with an eastbound motorcycle.
This second crash threw the motorcycle passenger, identified as Jessikah Richardson, from the bike and into the roadway. She ultimately died at the scene.
Medics transported all three drivers to the hospital. The driver of the motorcycle sustained critical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
