AUSTIN, TX – A major two-vehicle collision killed one person and injured another on Sunday afternoon in northwest Austin.
According to CBS Austin, the incident occurred around 3:39 p.m. at the intersection of Corpus Christi Drive and West Parmer Lane, which is just north of McNeil Drive in the Rattan Creek area.
Police say that one person died at the scene, while the other went to the hospital for non-critical injuries.
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation. Photos take at the scene show a blue SUV on the side of the road with extensive front-end damage.
Roads were blocked in the area of the accident while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
