MUSTANG RIDGE, TX – One person died, and another went to the hospital Saturday after a major crash in Mustang Ridge, reports CBS Austin.
The accident happened just before 5:30 p.m. in the area of 8700 Old Lockhart Road, which is just west of the intersection with US-183. Mustang Ridge is about 20 miles southeast of downtown Austin.
Police haven’t disclosed many details regarding the circumstances of the wreck. They say that two-vehicles were involved with a total of six people. Emergency crews worked to extricate one person from their vehicle.
Authorities pronounced one victim deceased at the scene. They’ve not yet released the identity of that person to the public.
One person went to an area hospital with minor injuries.
