BELTON, TX – A major crash involving a motorcycle and a car killed one person last Saturday in central Bell County, reports Fox 44 News.
Around 10:55 a.m., emergency teams received word of a major accident on FM 439 near Lake Park Road in the city of Belton.
Police say that a 25-year-old motorcyclist was riding with a group bikers on the eastbound side of FM 439 when he lost control of his bike and collided head-on with a Buick sedan.
The motorcycle operator, identified as 25-year-old Fitim Nela of Killeen, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the wreck.
None of the other bikers nor the driver of the Buick were hurt in the crash.
FM 439 remained inaccessible for several hours following the accident while crews worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
