DEL VALLE, TX – One person died of cardiac arrest Friday morning after their car crashed along the highway in Del Valle, reports KXAN.
The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 71 and Granny Drive, which is near Garfield.
Police have not shared many details about the accident. They say that crews worked to extricate the victim from a pinned vehicle and that medics performed CPR after the patient went into cardiac arrest.
The patient ultimately died at the scene of the crash.
It is unclear at this time if the victim’s medical episode was related to the crash. It’s also unclear if any other vehicles were involved in the collision.
